Jim McEneaney - In the midst of my first full season of TCBA, one Lyman Bostock was having a monster season--when the car radio announced he'd been shot dead in Gary, Indiana.... Frank Lentine in 10-19-78 TCBA Report - “I’m sure all baseball fans, and especially this reporter, were shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Lyman Bostock. It was particularly upsetting to me because he was a member of my TCBA team. As corny as it sounds, I feel a bit closer to the players on my team as I follow their successes and failures daily in the box scores. In Lyman’s case it was mostly success. It is very depressing to me to realize that I will never see his name again included in the league leaders where it should be.” Jerry Siciliano in November, 1978 - “Connecticut is fined $1000 for sending the results of the Norfolk at Connecticut series to Norfolk’s old address and causing Dan Warren great mental anguish.” Bob Braun - Four of five protests against Santa Barbara by Hyde Park were allowed by NL statistician Frank Lentine.
