TCBA Encyclopedia - The record for futility in TCBA history is held by the 1923 Kilkenny Gaelics, who won a mere 24 games out of the 154 they played (.185). The 1921 VitaMen (31/.201), the 1964 VitaMen (35/.217), and the 1922 VitaMen (35/.229) round out the Futile Four.

Based on the early series results from '28, this illustrious group may soon become the Futile Five. The VitaMen, those loveable losers of the Golden Age of TCBA, are on a pace to win an optimistic 34 games (.221), making them Four-time Losers with a capital "L."  There have been others who have come close to the Mendoza line of .230 (soon to be renamed the Hyde Park Line!):

The Hyde Park Line. I like that. Like a railroad to nowhere. All aboard!!!
