New Members

The Tcba Today extends a warm welcome to THREE new members into our Family!

-They should be a perfect fit..........somewhere in between Uncle Fester and Lurch! :-) -

Seriously, we had an opportunity these past couple of weeks to rejuvenate, resuscitate, or just breathe new life into a triad of open franchises..................and I am very pleased with the quality, reliability, and enthusiasm of the managers that accepted my offer.

- Leading off is someone a lot of you are familiar with as he attended some of our annual meeting in Lancaster. He was a lot younger than.....but weren't we all ! :-)

James MacEachern will join his dad, Walt, in making the 2nd Father/Son combo of managers currently in the league.

James is currently using a sling due to some shoulder surgery; but he shortly will have both hands on the controls of his franchises future!

He will take over the Norfolk Franchise slot in the Capitol Division.

- Batting second is another citizen of Maryland (seems like the balance of power geographically is definitely shifting to that region) Steve Lyon !

Steve is an avid Oriole fan and works in software for a defense contractor.

If the game company can't seem to release a new version of BBwin, maybe we can put Steve to the task and we'll see something before we all die! :-)

Steve will take over the Lawton Franchise slot in the Metro Division.

- and in the #3 hole............wait a minute, that didn't sound right............batting 3rd is John Christopher.

He is a sports nut splitting his time in both Jeff's hockey league and JR's baseball league, and has known Jeff and Gerry since the 7th grade, growing up in Morgantown WV.

He currently resides in Fairfax Virginia and is a Tech Support Specialist for the public schools in Fairfax!

(If Steve can redesign BBwin for us, then John can teach us how to run it!)

John will take over the Allegheny franchise in the Atlantic Division.

Technically sound, smart as whippets, and all eager to attend Grantville and start drafting their teams future!

Their team names will be announced in the near future.

And the plans call for a Redraft of the open franchises, so all three mgrs can chart their own destiny with players THEY choose.

Here's the particulars, update your Address Books and Disty Lists............and give them a holler if you want to welcome them in!

I'm looking forward to competing with them for many decades to come, even long after I'm dead if they ever put wi-fi in Hell ! :-)
