 | Voting for the TCBA Players’ Hall of Fame
  concluded this week with two new members being enshrined. Mickey Mantle and
  Eddie Mathews each received widespread support that carried them into the
  temple of TCBA immortality. The vote
  for Mickey Mantle was huge, with
  the slugging outfielder gaining 94.1% of the vote, the 5th highest
  percentage ever in TCBA Hall of Fame voting:

  TCBA Encyclopedia In his TCBA career, Mantle hit 523 home runs, 14th
  all-time in TCBA play; and he drove in 1574 runs, 16th on the
  all-time TCBA list. Mickey played his entire 18-season TCBA career with Gary
  Sibley’s Wilderness Wraiths. In 1958, Mantle led
  the Wraiths to the TCBA finals, losing in six games. In the 6-game Division
  Series, Mantle belted 5 home runs and drove in 13. He added another two
  homers in the World Series, though his team came up on the short end of a 4-2
  result. In 1961, Mantle once again led his team to the playoffs, this
  time to a successful end. Although his contributions were more limited in the
  ’61 playoffs, the team went on to win their only TCBA league crown. Mickey retired after the 1969 season with a TCBA career average
  of .292 to go along with those 523 homers. Eddie Mathews played 16 of his 17-year TCBA career with
  Marty Fiehl’s South Starrucca Ainspans. Mathews belted 466 home runs and
  drove in 1622, good for 21st and 13th respectively on
  the TCAB all-time list. Mathews received solid support from the TCBA voters,
  garnering 81.3% of the vote. Mathews led the league in rbi three
  times, including 1954 when he drove in 159 runs to go with his league-leading
  40 homers. That season Mathews led the Ainspans to their second league crown.
  The Ainspans added two more league crowns, led by Mathews to consecutive
  titles in 1962-1963. Eddie retired after the 1969 season with a respectable .273
